The FurPocalypse is Nigh

Roommate backed out after I quoted him $200/night for the room. Since I have a junior suite, my understanding is that he'd basically have a whole room to himself, so it didn't seem that unfair? Mostly what was annoying was that I first quoted him the price nine days ago and he didn't express any concerns, and then I didn't find out that he'd switched over to a different room until I poked him after he hadn't replied for almost a day when I asked him how much he could afford in a room. I would have been willing to go as low as $100/night, but he ended up finding a different space that's going to cost him more like $50/night, and I admittedly wouldn't go that low for this guy.
I've pitched the idea of doing a chill kink social thing at FurPoc on Friday and/or Saturday nights, and it seems as though there may be some interest in that. I'm not interested in Novar's party because it sounds like it's going to be large and crowded and...meh. I enjoyed the roadtrip with him back in June, but dude's barely talked to me since (I'm not blaming him, I'm just observing). I'm kind of hoping I can get Kota to come by and offer kinky photoshoot sessions as well, but we'll see.
No contact from Jake. Sigh. I hope he gets the help he needs.
Saturday was rough, with buying new shoes, getting vaccinated (including an unexpected pneumonia shot) and buying groceries and doing laundry. I was kind of a slug on Sunday as a result, though I did get a fair amount of packing done that night.
In the book I'm editing right now I realized there's never any mention of even the possibility of an FWB scenario, and that feels anomalous now that I've thought about it. To me it feels a bit akin to the idea of being in the furry fandom for more than a year and never once considering even the idea of murrsuiting, even to conclude that it's not your bag.
Nothing else is coming to mind. Busy busy busy...
