Good News, Bad News
Feb. 4th, 2026 02:38 pmGood News:
It looks like we'll be able to move the FWG account over to my bank. I met with a representative today (that felt a little surreal), and while he needed to look into a few things for us, it seemed promising! Just need to hear back from him after he sent a message that was a little confusing and possibly a problem.
I continue to recover from my periodontal work. It rarely hurts now, though sometimes when using my waterpik it seems to hit the nerve, and that sucks. I have my post-op on Friday; hopefully more good news.
Tay finally paid me for editing his book late last year, woo! It's not really his fault since he lost his job, but it sucked being in limbo for a few months there...though it kind of worked out since now I'm editing for Joaquin again, so I couldn't have edited for him if I'd waited.
Bad News:
Work sent out an email letting everyone know that at some point in Q2 we'll be moving to four days a week in-office. That's the worst news I've heard in awhile, and I can't even wrap my head around it right now really. It hasn't even happened yet and it's affecting my mood and certainly my morale. I've already Julie whether there's any wiggle room on that, given that it barely makes sense for me to go in two days a week and makes even less sense for me to go in four days a week. Their pitch is that we're stronger together, but I don't feel any stronger when I'm in the office barely engaging with anyone, and not engaging about anything related to my actual job. Just fucking awful and ill-considered.
